Sail across the waters of the Caribbean Sea and continue to unwind in an activity that blends elegance, relaxation, and adventure. Luxuriating on a Catamaran cruise is the ultimate grown and sexy moment. You'll not only get amazing photos, but, more importantly, you'll gain joyful, lifelong memories that expand your ideas of fun.

Adventure-seekers may choose to dive into the crystal-blue waters to admire the underwater beauty of tropical fish, sea turtles, and the island's corral gardens. Or you may choose to simply relax and be in the present moment. Sipping on rum punch, and indulging in the flavors of a delicious meal, you will enjoy the calming effects of the glimmering waves, enhanced by the sounds of music and laughter of loved ones who joined you on this journey.

This is the kind of luxury escape that people with demanding lives crave.

DAY 2
Sugarcane Plantation Tour
Our next stop is St. Nicholas Abbey where we'll dive into Barbados' colonial past. A guided tour of the 350-year old mansion includes a historical steam-powered train ride, a walk through the "Great House," and a visit to the working rum distillery which includes a tasting of aged blends unique to the estate.

While the colonial architecture and artifacts on property will intrigue the historian in you, this experience also encourages the spirit in you to connect with the stories of enslaved Africans who operated the sugarcane plantation. A tour guide will highlight their ancestral stories of survival, resistance and resilience.
This experience will serve as a foundational premise for the rest of your trip.

DAY 2 (cont)
Newton Slave Burial Ground
Barbados holds a profound and often overlooked truth - it was the first British colony built entirely for sugarcane production and slavery.
Established in 1627, Barbados quickly became the wealthiest colony in the British Empire, fueled by the labor of enslaved Africans toiling in the unforgiving heat of sugar plantations. The brutual system of chattel slavery - where people were treated as property for life - became perfected in Barbados, and served as a model for slavery throughout the Americas, including the United States. Newton Slave Burial Ground is the largest known cemetary for enslaved Africans in the Western Hemisphere. It is also one of the most sacred yet rarely spoken-about sites on the island.
During this moment of reverence, we will acknowledge the strength of all of our relations who endured unimaginiable hardship. We will also honor them for not only innovating, but passing down empowering traditions, soulful music, enduring spirituality, and a legacy of survival to us/their descendants. We will speak their names, honor their Spirits, and reconnect with "Our-story" which textbooks rarely tell.

This deeply healing experience allows us to process collective, generational trauma experienced by the global African Diaspora. Together, we will commit to reclaiming our ancestral narratives, and walk away with a profound sense of connection to those who came before us. For anyone who has ever felt disconnected from their roots, this will be more than a history lesson - it will be a homecoming.

DAY 3
Emancipation Day
Emancipation Day commemorates the abolition of slavery in Barbados and the wider British Empire in 1834. Observed on August 1st, this day is not just a historical remembrance for many Caribbean countries, but a powerful celebration of resilience and freedom. The Barbadian gathering brings together activists, scholars, artists, and everyday Bajans for a day of music, spoken word, drumming, dance, and speeches that reaffirm the strength of the African Diaspora. Emancipation Day is a powerful community gathering that validates our shared ancestral struggles and global triumphs, while the variety of performances bring ancestral traditions to life.

This empowering celebration of our Pan-African identify and heritage is sure to provide you with clarity, inspiration, and a renewed sense of cultural pride.

Oistins Fish Fry
The Friday Night Fish Fry at Oistins is the perfect grown-folks’ night out in Barbados.

The air is filled with the aroma of grilled mahi-mahi, fried flying fish, macaroni pie, and sweet plantains, while vendors serve up rum punch and coconut water fresh from the shell. Soca, reggae, and calypso beats spill from speakers, and by the end of the night, everyone is dancing under the stars. What started as a local Bajan gathering has evolved into a vibrant cultural tradition, drawing visitors and locals alike. You will love the authentic, relaxing, lively atmosphere.

DAY 4
Free Day
This trip takes place during the Barbados Crop Over Festival which is a highly-anticipated, 90-day long festival of Barbadian food, arts, music and culture. Or you may even opt in to private events like BLISS, an all-inclusive premium day party with endless drinks, gourmet food, and a fashion-forward dress code. In the evening, you may end up at official Crop Over events like Foreday Morning Jam, a high-energy mud, paint, and powder party in the streets that starts at midnight and goes until sunrise. Once the Barbados Tourism and Marketing Inc (BTMI) publishes the official 2025 Crop Over calendar, you'll be able to decide how to you want to spend your free day.

DAY 5
Mount Gay Island Rum Tour
Dive into this interactive tour of Mount Gay Distillery, the world's oldest rum producer. On this tour, you will learn how enslaved Africans dating back to 1703 played a pivotal role in the production of rum, turning it into the world-renowned spirit it is today. This immersive tour will take you through 300+ years of craftsmanship, from the sugarcane fields to copper pot stills and oak barrel aging. The experience ends with a guided tasting of small-batch and limited-edition rums, paired with expert tips on how to appreciate the nuances of each blend.

This sensory experience will foster an appreciation for the history, culture and craftmanship of rum making. Savor each sip in this sophisticated, high-end experience filled with storytelling, a preview to our Barbados Food & Rum Festival trip (October 2025). You will likely be fascinated by the deep connections between rum, the Transatlantic Slave Trade, and the Caribbean identity. This is grown-folks' indulgence at its finest, making it the perfect stop before your final celebration: Grand Kadooment.

DAY 6
Grand Kadooment
This carnival parade is the grand finale of the Crop Over Festival where thousands of revelers in feathers, jewels, and sequined costumes come from around the world to dance in the streets to the pulsating sounds of soca and calypso.
Kadooment is also a symbolic closing to our seven-day journey of rest, spiritual restoration, and cultural immersion in Barbados. After a full week of relaxing in nature, exploring history and reconnecting with our ancestral stories, dancing in Grand Kadooment is a moment that will allow you to step into pure, unfiltered joy. Whether you choose to watch the dancers go by, or "jump" with a band and parade along with them, most will find themselves drinking rum in the hot sun, dancing with our Caribbean cousins, and embracing the pure euphoria of living in the moment. Feel the bass of the massive music trucks in your bones, moving freely in ways once denied to our ancestors. And if your friends get it on camera, you'll have the ultimate social media post that you share with everyone!
